Main Event on stage EPT Malta surrendered Alexey Boyko player from Belarus, and the third place went to the representative of the Russian Federation Dmitry Yurasov.
In the fifth day of Main Event EPT Malta passed almost no surprises, as expected: outsiders departed, and went over the chip lead to the final draw. Ole Shemion eliminated in 13th place, receiving EUR 25 030. Dominik Panka, to everyone’s surprise, ended this tournament on 9 line – EUR 41 590.
German amateur Bastian Dohler, selected to the tournament for only € 10 through the satellite was able to get to the seventh place. In the final hand of the fifth day’s play Bastian put up against McNamara and Boyko, but, despite the advantage preflop lost to stay a step away from the top-6.
Bastian Dohler won this tournament a record for himself the prize EUR 56,150, quite a good result considering that the tournament has managed his 10 euros. Boyko in this hand lost most of the stack, left with 19 bb, four times less than that of the leading Carlsson.
The final day for Boyko began more than successful, winning several small banks, 7 hand he doubled against McNamara, putting it in front of the need to push with a weak hand.
The last before the heads-up out of main event Dmitry Yurasov. The Russian stayed a few days in the area of second place, but eventually departed in third place, after moving from Carlsson.
Carlsson began heads-up as a chip leader, but quickly gave the advantage Boyko and after 25 hands finally capitulated. Both finalists have earned the biggest prize of his career.
