GPL (GLOBAL POKER LEAGUE)
Global Poker League – a tournament consisting of 12 teams in two conferences (the Eurasian and American) they play matches online (in the studios) and in the hall in Las Vegas. Each team consist of 6 players, buy-in is zero. The first season consists of 45 games and each player must take part in at least six games during the season.

Moscow Wolverines team headed by Anatoly Filatov qualified for the play-offs Global Poker League (GPL) of the first season due to their successful performances in team games Eurasian conference. In the last round of GPL Moscow Wolwerines enough 3 wins in 6 heads-up matches (9 points). Sergey Lebedev won 2-1 over representing London Royals Sam Trickett (Sam Trickett), earning 6 points. Dmitry Urbanowicz in a duel with Mustafa Kanit from Rome Emperors unfortunately lost 1-2, but still brought wolverines 3 points. As a result, the Russian team won the first place with 165 points.
The American Conference team had only one heads-up match, but three teams guaranteed a place in the play-off in the regular season, and the team of Chris Moneymaker, although won their mini match, but lost the minimum hopes of continuing the struggle.
This week, a team of New York and San Francisco will hold two heads-up match and correspondence duels will determine the last participant the playoffs from the American Conference.

Thus, Moscow Wolverines not only made their way into the playoffs, but also became the only team yet resident Eurasian conference, where it was done.
Playoffs GPL season will be held in Las Vegas on November 29-30, and the finale of the first season is scheduled for December 1st.
