Hanh Tran won his second gold bracelet this year in a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament with a € 550 buy-in. At the final table, Tran defeated Oleg Pavlyuchuk heads up to win €59,625 and the coveted prize. Romain Lewis finished in third place. Florian Sarnow, second in last night’s Turbo Bounty Hunter, was the first to leave the final table in eight place.
At the beginning of the heads-up, Oleg Pavlyuchuk had an advantage in the 5:1 stack. Tran got back into it by winning several all-ins in short succession. The next time he put all in, Pavlyuchuk was forced to play his entire stack. Oleg Pavlyuchuk called with KQ on a flop of Q76 but unfortunately Tran showed 76. The turn and river were blank and Tran began to celebrate winning the second gold bracelet.
“I know if I would double-up, I could beat him,” Tran explained. “I’m experienced with being the underdog; in Vegas, I was a huge underdog too.”
