The French professional, Julien Martini, finished first in the fifth event of the Poker Masters series, in the $10,000 Big Bet Mix tournament. He won $166,400 for his victory and now his live prizes exceed $4.5 million.
The final hand took place in No Limit Hold’em. Martini raised with ace-eight and Burns called with king-three. The ten-four-five flop saw Burns check-call a continuation bet from Martini. The jack of spades landed on the turn and both players checked. The river put three spades out there and Burns moved all-in for 3,000,000 into a 1,500,000 pot. Martini called with ace-high, his hand was good and the double WSOP bracelet winner Burns busted in second-place.
