Australian professional poker player Kahle Burns continues to show excellent results this year. He won first place in the Poker Masters Event #9: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em and won $416,500. Winning the tournament put Burns in second place in the purple jacket race, although he needs a lot of luck to outrun Sam Soverel. A total of 49 players took part in the tournament and 7 of them were in the prizes.
Kahle Burns and 99 kicked Soverel out of the tournament who had KQs. Burns knocked out Sean Winter in the next hand. In a thrilling heads-up, Kahle Burns defeated Ali Imsirovic. In the final hand Imsirovic played with QJ and lost to an Australian who had an AJ.
Only Kahle Burns and Chance Kornuth have any hope of overtaking Sam Soverel in the fight for a purple jacket. But it will be problematic, because Sam went to the final table of Event #10: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em with one of the biggest stacks.
