Phil Hellmuth broke his own record for the number of won bracelets in the World Series of Poker WSOP. In the final heads-up he was confronted by Stephen Wolansky. Winning the tournament # 71: $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold’em (30-minute levels) brought Phil the 15th bracelet in his career. For Hellmuth, this is the first bracelet since 2015 and the 9th bracelet in the NL Hold’em tournament. A total of 452 players took part in the tournament, and the prize pool was $ 2,101,800. The prize for the first place was $ 485,082.
Phil Hellmuth acknowledged that he had crossed the limits of what is allowed in the main WSOP tournament. As an apology to James Campbell, Phil offered to pay for him a buy-in to the main WSOP-2019 tournament, to which James agreed.
