WSOP stats: Nevada players won more bracelets than any other states representatives

WSOP starts this week is not the news. At least for those who is at least somehow connected with the world of poker.  Final schedule has become available on May, 23 and is on the official website of the series. As for now, wsop.com teases those who are willing to fight at the tables and their fellow spectators with some fun facts about the history of the tournaments.

69 bracelets will be awarded this year, and looks like traditionally the majority of them will be awarded to the players from the USA (certainly, most of the participants of the series are from the home country). As for now, 1010 bracelets are won by the players with American passport with local Nevada’s guys being the most successful. 375 bracelets are awarded to Nevada’s residents. Californians are on the second place with mere 180 bracelets. Texas (74 bracelets), New York (51 bracelets) and Florida (49 bracelets) conclude the TOP-5 states. There are also 5 states who have never sent WSOP champions to the casinos of Nevada. They are Delaware, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont and Wyoming. The record holder is notorious Phil Helmuth with enormous result of 14 golden bracelets. He lives in California , by the way.
