The fourth event of the newest high roller festival of the British Poker Open, ended on Friday at Aspers Casino in London. The winner of the £10K Short Deck was Sam Greenwood, who defeated the Swedish short-stroke cash game heads-up.
Sam Greenwood got £110,400 for his victory. This is already the second win for the Greenwood family in the series, with his brother Luc Greenwood taking first place in the first event at £10,000 No Limit Hold’em. And for Sam, it’s the second ITM in the series, and in the third event he took fifth place.
“I registered, went on this crazy heater and won every all-in basically,” Greenwood told Poker Central’s live reporting team following his win. “It happens a lot in Short Deck; people go from having all the chips to having no chips. I sprung 100,000 up to 1.5 million.”
