The 2019 PokerStars EPT Open Sochi festival is a wrap, and the RUB 133000 Main Event (~$2,040) has crowned a champion in a field of 879 entries. The prize fund of the tournament amounted to more than 100 million RUB. The first place went to Chinese poker player Yi Ye, who defeated Giorgiy Skhulukhiya in the heads-up, who recently won the high roller tournament in Cyprus. The prize for first place was $300,000. In 2018, Yi Ye played at the final table of the Main Event EPT Sochi, then he took sixth place, and this year he took third place in one of the side events.

The final table was also played by two women, Ukrainian Lidia Kozenkova and Russian Natalia Panchenko. They took 4th and 3rd place respectively. In the heads-up,  Giorgiy Skhulukhiya and Yi Ye discussed a possible deal, but did not reach an agreement. In the final hand, the Chinese player with 66 defeated  Giorgiy KQ.
